Billy Nikolaou
Billy has been the proud owner & operator of Totally Electric since it’s conception in 2012. You can say being an electrician is in his blood; he has many family members who are also electricians, including his father and brother. Although it was not by choice, he was in grade 6 when he got his first summer job in this field. It was not long after that he knew he wanted to make a career in the electrical trade.
“Making Life Brighter” is what it’s all about! Billy has always wanted to change the stereotype that is typically associated with the trades. He works hard to ensure Totally Electric is known to be committed, professional, and, above all else, honest with our clients. He regularly motivates his team to set goals, both professional and personal, and to strive to be the best people they can be.
When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two teenage daughters. He loves to travel whenever possible, volunteer in his community, and keep up a healthy active lifestyle as well.
Tim Lynch
Tim is the team's Director of Operations. He is a Red Seal journeyman electrician who began working with Billy in 2007, when he was just 22 years old. He has worked his way up over the years and has earned such certifications as IR scanning, arc flash safety, and smart home & business technologies.
"Years later, I'm still at it and I enjoy the unique challenges we face on a daily basis!"
Tim is also a father to 2 boys who keep him on his toes! Outside of focusing on family and work, he loves to golf, play hockey, golf, go fishing, and GOLF!
Cheryl Timmons
Cheryl was born in West Germany to a Canadian military family, and grew up travelling all over Europe and Eastern Canada. After raising her children & working numerous jobs over the years, Cheryl went back to school to complete the Office Administration course at NSCC in 2017. She was hired by Billy later that year.

On the weekends, it's common to find her on a road trip anywhere in the Maritimes. Most often she visits her 4 children & their families, including 8 grandchildren, in Cape Breton. Sometimes she'll even let her pets tag along! Dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, and even hamsters have made the trek!
Chris Briand
Chris is a Red Seal journeyman electrician who’s worked at Totally Electric since 2009.
“It feels like 1999 but I digress. Totally Electric is a great work environment! We have some very interesting & personable electricians who are a joy to be around, to work with, and also to learn from; including the boss man, Big B. “
Chris enjoys golfing in his spare (all of the) time and the occasional taste of beer.
“I like almost all sports, and I love to talk about said sports…. maybe too much, at times. In the winter months, building models and playing pool is how I kill the time. I have a wife and an awesome cat named Judy; the wife’s awesome too. “
Alex Dimitropoulos
Alex started his electrical career in 2010 as an apprentice. Alex has been with Totally Electric since 2012, earning his Red Seal journeyman electrician certification in 2015.
“In the years that I’ve been working with this team, I have been given many responsibilities in every area of service that we offer: multi-unit residential, commercial, residential, and service calls. For the past few years, I’ve mainly concentrated my time on being a service call technician, and I am a self-proclaimed Fishin’ Magician, because I can fish wire even when it seems impossible!”
Alex likes to keep a healthy lifestyle by staying active with local competitive soccer associations, and by being an international wrestling official.
Dylan Young
Originally from Sussex, New Brunswick, Dylan joined Totally Electric in 2013 as a 1st year apprentice. He worked hard from day one and became a Red Seal journeyman electrician in 2018. Working with Totally Electric has been an awesome experience for Dylan.
“All of my fellow employees are very nice and fun to work with, which makes getting up in the morning to come to work easy and enjoyable.”
When Dylan is not working, he likes to spend time with his wife and daughter, or watching any sport he can find.
Jeremy Wallace
Jeremy is a Red Seal journeyman electrician who joined the electrical trade late in life.
“I was too busy being awesome in my younger years. I joined Totally Electric in 2015 as a 4th year apprentice and became a full-fledged journeyman soon after. Billy was super supportive of me going to school after only 2 months working with the company, and I truly appreciate that. He's one of the best employers I've ever worked for; open to suggestions and continually trying to grow and improve his company.”
Jeremy enjoys playing board games with the local Halifax gaming community, and also plays a sport called jugger (Google it - it will blow your mind). He is constantly reading, enjoying both science fiction and fantasy novels, and likes to be active, going on hiking adventures all around Nova Scotia.
Shawn Long
Shawn is a Red Seal journeyman electrician who started training with Totally Electric in 2016.
He has been nicknamed Nate Dawg, not only for his side profile resemblance to Cole Harbour’s great Nathan MacKinnon, but also for his incredible hockey skills, growing up playing hockey in Salmon River Lake, NS. When he’s off the ice, Shawn can be found riding his ATV or playing video games.
Maddox Evans
Should you ever reach out to the office, you will probably be speaking with Maddox! Born & raised in Dartmouth, they attended NSCC for ASL/English interpretation and use their excellent communication skills to make every client feel important. With a strong background in customer service, Billy felt they were the right fit for Totally Electric in 2021.

Outside of work, Maddox spends every spare moment they can with their spouse. They enjoy relaxing at home, playing old Nintendo games or Monopoly, and indulging in their more obscure hobbies, such as doll collecting.
